Completing a big project

Phase 2 of the project has already been completed and I want to congratulate my workmates for the job well done. This is a big project and a big milestone for the company.  How this project became successful did not result from an overnight work but a series of  difficult endeavors and tons of effort from everybody.

Completing a big project requires many things. First on the list for me is a supportive and trust-giving Administration, a big project often takes a long time to complete and the Administration side takes care of the resources of the company and manages it so that there would still be enough resources during the projected finish of the big project.

2nd is HR (human Resource). Of course you’ve got to take care of your programmers, testers, quality assurance and all other employees involved in the project. It’s not easy managing people working overtime everyday. These are people and you’ve got to communicate with them regularly so that their concerns are voiced out, rather than kept to themselves that would later on cause dissatisfaction.

3rd is an excellent Manager (including Advisers and Seniors – special mention to sir Ryerod). Special mention to sir Dave, who, I think, is a great great manager. He doesn’t lose his poise even though the schedule is very tight and hectic. Never have I seen him get angry once or lift his voice up to anyone. He set the example of leading through example and not through fear and constantly reprimanding your employees. A good manager should motivate his employees and at the same time not make your employees lose their focus on the goal of completing the project.

Last, but definitely not the least. In order for a project to be successful, you’ve got to have the best and motivated programmers. Without motivation, even though you have great programmers, they are still human beings and when the going gets tough, motivation and reward rejuvenates your employees. Programmers ave very important since they are the only ones who have a direct contact with the goods/service that your company offers. Seeing this relationship makes you take care of your employees and in turn, unconsciously or consciously, they improve their output.
